Description
Firefly squid pickled in brine has a crisp texture with a lightly savory, salty taste—great with drinks. If you’re not pairing it with alcohol, try it with a little ginger for a richer flavor. It is ready to eat after thawing.

This is a traditional preserved dish. In the past, fishermen would carry seasoning liquid on board and marinate squid immediately after catching it, which is why it is called “pickled in brine.” Small squid keeps a sashimi-like texture for a day after marinating, and its flavor deepens further with fermentation.

Storage: 
Keep frozen at -18°C or below before use. 
After thawing, consume within 2 hours. Do not refreeze after thawing.
