Description
May–June is plum season in Japan. Purple Queen plums are a new, popular green plum for making plum wine (umeshu) in Hong Kong. Their season is very short, only in May and lasting 2–4 weeks.

Like Nankoume plums, they have a fresh, fragrant plum aroma, plus apple and floral notes that can be smelled from a distance. Their small size and the resulting rose-pink umeshu make them especially popular.

Keep in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.
