These oysters come from Kesennuma in Hirota Bay, part of the rich Sanriku Coast region. They are known for their robust oyster flavor with moderately lighter seawater saltiness. The meat is plump, juicy, and has a natural sweet and lingering aftertaste.
Hirota Bay is rich in nutrients from many rivers flowing from the surrounding mountains, supporting plentiful plankton that feeds the oysters. They are carefully farmed and harvested for quality, often praised for their full-bodied taste and fresh sweetness.

Handling Instructions: Soak oysters in salted ice water for 20 minutes before shucking to clean surface microbes. Insert oyster knife at the pointed end, push in halfway, gently pry upwards, then scrape side to open shell.
Storage Instructions: Do not wash before storing. Place oysters in a container with a little water, cover with a damp cloth, and keep in the fridge vegetable compartment to maintain moisture. Store for 2-3 days max.
Note: Consume oysters ideally on the day of receipt. No shucking service is provided to avoid contamination.
